I'm posting a few show and tell tidbits from class this semester. It was a request for an
Institute for the Future of the Book meeting. At this point I'm just splashing up some links to
a collage, a
playlist podcast, and a
video collage.
The questions I have about these projects relate to a mode of teaching and composing I have been focused on lately, a mode I call F9 pedagogy in reference to the results of pressing the F9 key on a Mac using os X. Pressing the key turns every open window on the screen into a thumbnail and brings into view the complex mixing of files and applications that takes place in highly digitial multimodal composing. This composing raises questions about complexity in writing assignments, the content of writing courses, and writing technologies. I will hopefully be able to reflect more deeply on this over time.
